We often take ourselves too seriously. Yes, the world is loud, we are surrounded by so much suffering and horrible news daily but there's still so much good in the world too. Let's embrace the softness and the beauty of our days.I clearly remember always sketching and painting, still playing with my Barbies, GameBoy (Mario Bros and Tetris) and jigsaw puzzles well into my teen years.
How about for today, we try to remember a project or a class we really enjoyed as a child and make some mental notes? Perhaps we can replicate the activities, even if just mentally and soak up the joy it had sparked. We let the inner child come forth. So here's your gentle nudge to play some music in the background, make a quick sandwich and a cup of tea, and go for a little picnic or grab some pencils and sketch what's in front of you (nobody needs to see it, it's all yours). If you're blessed with kids in the neighbourhood then step out when they're playing and read a book in the sun.
As for me, I think I'll make a different type of to-do list for myself, The Fun List. I'll watch The Smurfs, paint and listen to the rain a bit. Tomorrow will hopefully be a simple picnic day.
Wishing you a lovely day,
Loba
