"I read books for a living"

Doesn't that phrase sound so dreamy? Can anyone truly say that? I'd love to say that someday. So perhaps that's what I'll manifest. 

 

In the meantime, here's a bit more about me: Hi, my name is Loba and I'm a lover of books, from fiction to non-fiction. My favourite genres to read seem to fall into fantasy and philosophy. Which granted, next to each don't seem like they go hand in hand but perhaps after reading philosophy so much the fantasy books offer the grand escape I need. 

I come from a marketing and event management background. I have extensive experience from retail management to publishing as well as organizing exhibitions and conferences. I owned an etsy shop and eventually gained the courage to open a brick and mortar indie bookstore called Bookworms & Co. in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. It was an absolute dream come true. I worked on hundreds of events onsite and offsite, I dealt with authors and customers on a daily basis. All in all, the bookstore was a chapter of my life that left incredible memories of a lifetime. Unfortunately, due to rising costs, I closed the bookstore in the summer of 2024, after being in operation for three years. 

After closing the bookstore, I went back to consulting with clients for their marketing and sales needs and working on the next chapter of Bookworms & Co. in the online sphere. And so here we are now. On this website, I offer you light reading into my favourite subjects, the world of books, philosophy and more tidbits as they come. There will also be an opportunity for anyone interested for extra perks and bonuses in the membership section. And the shop will open shortly as well.
