Year End 2025

"The beginning is always today"- Mary Shelley

As always, I'll reflect on the past year not so much with what wasn't achieved but with what was. How I spent my time and how to move forward.

Gratitude for having spent another lovely year with my family and loved ones. Making memories is what always makes me most proud. The rest are sweet icings on the cake that will forever make me smile.

On a personal level, I ponder if it was a productive year? In many ways yes. Was it fruitful? Perhaps not yet in many aspects but I didn't have such expectations either.

Much like a garden, so much has to happen underground before a shoot emerges. So patience is a virtue that I try very hard to cultivate.

I took charge of my health and tried to eat better. We never were a family of fast food eaters anyway but reducing salt made a massive difference. Working out on a daily basis, going for walks around the house while listening to music, an audiobook or a bookish video on youtube made all the difference.

It was a quiet year in many ways. I read as always, painted and drew and spent months in a blind haze with cataracts that were fortunately remedied before the end of the year. Life has a way of throwing us into a whirlwind when we least expect it but the human instinct is always to overcome obstacles.

I hope you had a lovely year filled with joy and health and are looking forward to the new chapter 2026.
